Out & About: Olympia, WA

Jeff and I took a short vacation to Olympia. We played in the sun, ate an absurd amount of good food, and fell a little in love with a houseboat. Here's what you can do with two days in Olympia if you get your mind right:

Blue houseboat & skies, dinner in, kayaking all morning, and a few friendly otter pups.

Coffee at Batdorf, a visit to Wagner's to get picnic supplies, their legendary pull apart cinnamon bread, lemon macaroon bar and s'mores cake, Swing for appetizers and wine. The dark yellow-brown cheese on the left was a butterscotch goat cheese- and it tasted just like it sounds.

A walk around the capitol grounds, rediscovering that I like white wine, the crazy super moon, the marina at dusk, and a nightcap at Tugboat Annie's.

The vacation ended with breakfast at the Bread Peddler. All in all, a successful trip.
